    Hi Nikki,

Just wanted to let you know again, that I am glad you decided
to leave Ridgewater and focus on yourself. I know it was a hard
decision for you to make, because I know how much you enjoyed
your time at Ridgewater. So now is the time to let this treatment
work that you just completed! Now let’s also work on beating Gwyn’s
    cancer!

    Love You much,
    Dad

    Hellow Nicole,
I sure am missing your smile everyday. You are such a strong person to always have your great smile everyday. I know that Bernie and I miss you very much, and many more co-workers. I was really sad to hear the news, but I know you were only making the choice best for you and your sweet family. You will be in my prayers and thoughts daily, stay strong and keep us posted and when the weather is warmer, stop by and say hi….
    Take care and God Bless

    Nicole,
It was sure nice to have you stop by the college the other day. Like I said before your smile makes everyones day. I sure miss visiting with you, I will have to find someone else to talk to. I agree, every day is a special day, to be thankful for. I know everyone complains, but I know from what my sister is going thru that you need to be thankful for everyday you have with loved ones…. Enjoy your day with Talia and shopping, which I know you enjoy and you deserve every minute of it….Take care and talk to you sometime soon. Spring is around the corner….. :)

I wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. You are an amazing woman! Continue to write of your story as we want to share this walk with you; although your readers feel a sense of wonder ‘wondering’ what will happen next in your medical story.
As we are about to celebrate Easter, we know God is in charge of our lives and gives us what we need for each day. May you feel God presence and power.
    Hugs, julie

Good morning, Nicole. Reading through your journal, seeing so much of what you are going through, we are amazed at you. Your strength, your positive spirit and your gratitude for all that you have, is extraordinary! We will keep you in our thoughts and our prayers, adopting a similar attitude, in the hopes that you will experience a quality of life that you can share with your beautiful family. Hang in there, you’re a tough woman.

It sounds like it has been another difficult day and it is hard not being a little disappointed, but you continue to amaze us with your great attitude and how you can always see the silver lining, even on the rough days. You remind me of one of my favorite quotes by Maurice Setter “Too many people miss the silver lining because they’re expecting gold”. It is good that your blood pressure seems to be getting under control – one less thing to worry about. I know that not every day is good, but there is something good in every day. As much as I know it would be good to be home for Easter – don’t rush it, you are in good hands at Abbott. Besides, I only have to take 40mg of dexamethasone 1 day a week and I know how wired I get – I am sure taking it 4 days in a row will make it a little tough to get a good night’s sleep for a while, so at least there are nurses that are up all night to visit with there:) Your attitude, strength, determination and true love of life and your family continue to make you a true inspiration to all of us, and will help you get through the obsticles that you face. Another good quote from Moter Teresa “I know that God will not give me anything that I can’t handle. I just wish He didn’t trust me so much”. As always, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We need to get together for lunch once things calm down for you, it has been a while.

Hi Nicole, Wow, have you been through a lot the last couple of weeks. You are so strong and courageous as you deal with all these health issues. It sounds like there is a plan in place for you to get healthier and for your body to heal. Please know that I continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to you and your family!

Just stopping by to let you know (as I have a relative with MM) that prayers are being said for you and intentions that your medical team are doing all the right things to help you get this disease to the chronic, manageable state. BLessings upon you…

    Hi Nicole

Sorry to hear that your appointment at the U of M was rescheduled – have they set a new date for the end of June? Hopefully they will be able to come up with a plan for the platelet disorder soon. I am sure it has to be a relief to get off the dexamethasone, I know that there are a few more aches and pains, but it has to be a relief to get a little more rest. As usually your great attitude continues to shine through – you continue to be a true inspiration to us all. As always, you remain in our thoughts and prayers.

It was great seeing you at the Relay for Life in Hutch tonight. It was amazing hearing your speach and as always, I am amazed at your attitude with all you have been through – this really helps me (and many others) push ourselves beyond all expectations – you set the bar high:) I also enjoyed meeting several members of your family tonight – we had a great visit. I wish I could have stayed longer to visit more, but I unfortuantely started running out of steam quickly. You and your family continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong and I hope to talk to you soon.

    Hi Nicole
I happened to run across your journal this evening and was very inspired reading your speech. I decided to re-retire from Ridgewater this semester so am attending to just my industrial seminar teaching and enjoying more time at home. I believe that God has His hand on you and will continue to bring you through this experience. You are in our prayers.
Keep up the good fight but rest in His hand.
    God Bless
